Dr. Kristen M. Jacobs is a physician, nationally recognized aesthetic educator, speaker, and author who has practiced aesthetic medicine since 2008. As the founder of Aesthetic Resource & Training Academy (ART Academy), she is passionate about helping medical professionals develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become exceptional aesthetic providers.
Dr. Jacobs began her medical career in family medicine before transitioning into aesthetic medicine. She is the owner and medical director of Ooh La La Spa, Anti-Aging & Wellness in Glen Carbon, Illinois, where she combines medical expertise with an individualized approach to aesthetic care.
Selected by Allergan as a national trainer, Dr. Jacobs spent more than a decade educating healthcare professionals in aesthetic injection techniques. She has also shared her expertise as a speaker and educator at leading industry conferences, including AMWC Americas, The Aesthetic Show and AMSPA.
Throughout her career, Dr. Jacobs has developed a passion for teaching that extends beyond injection techniques. She believes exceptional aesthetic outcomes begin with a strong understanding of anatomy, careful patient assessment, sound clinical judgment, and individualized treatment planning.
Through foundational education, supervised hands-on training, clinical immersion, and private mentorship, ART Academy offers an educational experience designed to meet providers at different stages of their aesthetic careers. Dr. Jacobs emphasizes understanding the why behind every treatment decision rather than simply following an injection pattern.
In addition to her clinical and educational work, Dr. Jacobs is the author of Live Life Beautifully (with a little help), reflecting her belief that aesthetic medicine should enhance confidence while preserving each patient’s individuality.
Dr. Jacobs has strong ties to the Edwardsville and Glen Carbon community, where she has built her practice and raised her family. She values the relationships she has developed throughout her career and enjoys mentoring others, sharing her experiences, and helping the next generation of professionals succeed.
Her mission through ART Academy is simple: to share the knowledge and experience gained throughout her career while helping the next generation of aesthetic providers develop their own clinical expertise, confidence, and artistry.
